Casey’s Story
If you are undergoing a cardiac procedure, such as balloon angioplasty or a bypass procedure, cardiac rehab can help improve your heart's health and endurance while giving you greater confidence in your ability to do what you want. Las Vegas resident Casey S. was diagnosed with a serious blockage of the "widowmaker" artery in his heart in late 2021. Cardiac rehabilitation has been an important step in recovering, he says:
“It's really turned out to be not only a strength builder, but a morale builder too … It's non-stressful. It's a little bit taxing, of course, that's the point. But it's something that gives you the strength, both mentally and physically, to go on and realize that you're going to get better, that you are better.”
