Treatment for Mental Health Disorders
According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), mental health issues affect almost one in five American adults and almost 15% of American youth. If you are struggling with mental health issues, you are not alone, and the mental health professionals of The Valley Health System are here to help you.

Types of Behavioral Health Services
Finding the right type of behavioral health and mental health services for your needs can be daunting, but we are here to help make it easier.
Inpatient Services
Inpatient mental health services provide around-the-clock mental health care for individuals in a residential setting. A highly structured program in which individuals stay for a longer period of time, the constant treatment, therapies and support services aid in helping those in treatment to start feeling better, sooner.
Outpatient Services
Outpatient services provide many of the same therapies and treatment as inpatient services, but with more freedom. A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a full-time day program, and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a part-time day program. Both provide excellent mental health services but allow individuals to return home, to sober living or to familial and community requirements afterward.
Types of Therapy
Each individual is unique, and different types of therapy work for different people based on their situations.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a one-on-one therapeutic session with a medical professional, therapist, psychologist or other person qualified to provide therapy.
Group Therapy
Group therapy is a team therapeutic session in which individuals share their experiences, listen to others share their experiences and work with the group to improve.
