Application Process
The Transitional Year Residency Program offers a one-year training program. All applicants are required to apply using the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) application process and participate in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) to match with our program. The program will not accept any applicants outside of the NRMP Match. See the table below for program information.

We do not accept applications via FAX, email or postal services. International Medical Graduates are welcome to apply; however, The Valley Health System will not provide sponsorship for applicants who require a visa.
Applicants for the Transitional Year Residency Program will need to supply the following documentation in ERAS:
- Curriculum Vitae
- Medical School Transcript
- MSPE or ECFMG documentation
- Personal Statement
- Three (3) Letters of Recommendation

Scores from all national examinations taken, which must include:
- USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK, and USMLE Step 2 CS; or
- COMLEX Level 1, Level 2 CE, and Level 2 PE
